SELF-CLOSING
HINGES
Self-closing cabinet door hinges contain a small spring that pulls the door into contact with the cabinet box or frame. With applying a minimal amount of pressure, the door closes itself using a smooth, gliding motion. While the door closes easily and completely, it makes a slight audible sound when the door bump hits the cabinet because the self-closing hinge lacks the noise dampening piston of soft-close hinges.

HINGES
Soft-close cabinet door hinges work like self-closing cabinet hinges but with the addition of a piston that absorbs the excess energy. This hydraulic piston mechanism with sound dampers gently guides the door through the arc of the swing and into contact with the cabinet minimizing the noise of the door shutting while also extending the lifespan of the doors.
