WHAT IS PET?

Polyethelene Terephthalate (P.E.T) is a thermoplastic polymer, meaning is can soften when heated.  A PET panel consists of a thin sheet of PET polymer that is laminated to a Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF) or particleboard substrate core. Lanz offers PET doors in either High Gloss or Super Matte finishes.

  • Super Scratch Resistant (SSR) Coating, a hard coat finish for excellent scratch resistance
  • Impact and shatter-resistant
  • Water-resistant
  • Hygienic; does not promote bacterial growth
  • Stain and UV resistant
  • Won’t crack, peel, flake, or delaminate
Lanz PET is a sustainable option for door material.  It is TSCA Title VI certified MDF substrate with a non-toxic inert material.  All PET is PVC and BPA Free with no Volitile Organic Compounds (VOC). All made in the USA.

All samples presented on this website are subject to change due to material availability. Lanz Cabinets makes no guarantee that these offerings will continue to be in production. If any style is discontinued, we will make every effort to find a suitable replacement.

HIGH GLOSS

High gloss finishes are more pronounced and grab the eye with their shine. Being highly reflective, the high gloss finishes allow your drawers and/or cabinets to be more noticed and appreciated. our 0.5 mm thick P.E.T. surface results in a more reflective and ripple-free surface (standard product thickness is 0.1 – 0.3 mm).

SUPER MATTE

With a super matte finish, you get a refined, modern look that brings out an elegant yet reserved presence.  The surface is smooth to the touch and is not very reflective allowing it to integrate perfectly into any space. Our 0.4 mm thick surface results in a smoother look and feel.

DOOR EDGEBANDING

Hot Air edgebanding, composed of 1.2 mm polypropylene, is applied without adhesive. During the Hot Air process, the base layer melts to bond with the substrate and fills all voids at the edges. The result is a fully encased water-resistant door. Super matte faces with matching edgebanding give the look of a painted surface without cracking or peeling. Both super matte and high gloss finishes provide easy to maintain surfaces.
